Southern Ponds (Zone 9 + 10)
Southern Texas, Louisiana, Georgia, South Carolina and all of Florida
Jan – Feb
- Net Leaves and Debris out of the Pond – add Beneficial Bacteria
- Remove Growth on Rocks and Waterfall with Rock Cleaner
- Add Barley Product to prevent stringy Growth
- Observe Pond Fish for Sores & Parasite – add Medication if needed
- Test and adjust pH and other Pond Water Values if necessary
Mar – Apr
- Clean & Check Pond Pumps in anticipation of hot Weather ahead
- Boost Beneficial Bacteria
- Clean Rocks & Waterfalls if needed
- Add Barley Product to prevent stringy stuff growing
- Switch to Summer Food once the Water Temperature is 70+ degrees
- Prune, repot and fertilize Pond Plants – Provide Spawning Area
May – June
- Add Barley Product to prevent Stringy Growth
- Boost Beneficial Bacteria
- Provide Areas for Spawning using Plants
- Step up Pond Fish feeding Schedule
- Test and adjust Pond Water
- Observe Pond Fish for Sores and Parasite – Medicate if necessary
July – Aug
- Check Water Temperature & stop feeding Pond Fish if 85+ degrees
- Boost Beneficial Bacteria
- Add Barley Product
- Fertilize Pond Plants
Sept – Oct
- Step up Pond Fish feeding Schedule
- Stop fertilizing Pond Plants
- Boost Bacteria
- Add Barley Product
Nov – Dec
- Net Leaves and Debris out of the Pond – add Beneficial Bacteria
- Step down Pond Fish feeding
- Prune and/or repot Pond Plants
- Observe Pond Fish for Sores & Parasite – Medicate if necessary
Midwest Ponds (Zone 6,7,8)
Jan – Feb
- Add Cold Weather Beneficial Bacteria
- Add Barley Product to prevent stringy Growth
Mar – Apr
- Boost Beneficial Bacteria -Add Barley Product to prevent stringy stuff
- Remove Growth on Rocks and Waterfall with Rock Cleaner
- Start Pond Fish feeding Schedule – Start Pond Filters

- Stop feeding Fish when water temp is below 45 degrees
- Net the Pond – add De-Icer and Air Pump – Winterize Pond Filters
Northern Ponds (Zone 1 thru 5)
Jan – Feb

Mar – Apr
- Boost Beneficial Bacteria -Add Barley Product to prevent stringy stuff
