How to allow fish to winter outside

I have an above ground pond about 10′ x 2.5′ x 2.5’deep, sited on ledge with a rubber liner. It has 4 Koi that I usually bring in each winter as I’m in zone 6 in Boston MA and the pond freezes solid. Would an aerator and heater allow the fish to winter outside? Thank you, Elaine

It is hard to say. If the pond is in a protected area then the exposed sides are protected with straw bales, then the fish would most likely be okay with the addition of a heater and an air pump.
